Today we explored different types of maps. After looking at all of the different kinds, what are some ways that maps are used? Which themes of geography can a map help you explore?
Geography is the study of the physical features of the earth. What landforms (types of land: ex. mountains, hills, plains, etc) and bodies of water (ex. oceans, rivers, lakes, etc.) do we have in New York State? Let's make a list!

It was a wonderful last three days getting to know you all. I hope you have a restful weekend and come back to school energized and ready to work towards your goals!
Let's try to open up this discussion by discussing the goals you have in reading.
What is your goal from now until October? What will you need to do in order to get there? You may comment and add onto other's comments using the Praise Question Suggest Protocol used today.
